Ian Mankin's Coast collection captures the essence of seaside living with its palette of cobalt, indigo, and sky blues. Over 36 fabrics ranging from lightweight sheers to textured chenille, all traditionally crafted from 100% natural linen and cotton, evoke a life by the sea. There are some standout designs though like Knot which is an interesting weave but by adding satin/sateen in the fabric it gives a tactile and warm finish and an expressive addition to the Coast range. Maze design is based on the classic Greek key, and with a raised texture it makes this a truly tactile fabric, so why not use this on cushions utilising both sides of the fabric to quickly change the look. Chevron is bold and a robust, chunky textured chenille containing striking tones of deep cobalt, complemented alongside bleached chalky hues and is perfect for layering with subtler shaded striped, checked and plain fabrics within the Coast collection. Whitby has a fine detailed pattern with a subtle texture that is reminiscent of early mosaic, and in 3 colours it works perfectly as a trim for curtains and for soft furnishings.
